Grampians' camping trip... part 1

i went to grampians with melbourne uni's friends last 2 weeks ago and we spent the nite there in the tents!! awesome :D.... grampians is a mountainous place where u can get to c lots n lots of breath-taking scenery.. seriously, its beautiful...

there were 10 of us so we hired two cars frm hertz and drove there~ its always great to hit the road with a bunch of friends.. the entire journey took roughly 3 to 4 hours to reach grampians.. and there were beautiful hilly area covered with yellow flowers along the journey....

we stopped by ararat for out lunch... omg! cant believe i was able to get back to ararat after last semester's field trip... those memories of 'madness' and 'asylum' lolx...

we reached the grampians in the end, it was roughly afternoon and nearing evening time so we stopped by the cultural centre to ask for some brochures n stuffs...

then we went to our campsite to set up the tent before night fall coz it was kinda stopped raining for a bit so it would b better to set up the tent before the next rain come... and guess what we saw when we reached our campsite..... kangaroos!!! the wild ones!... i managed to snap a few pics of them before they hopped off into the forest... as well as two wild ducks haha...

so after setting up the tent, we drove to another nearby mountain.. forgot the name tho coz there are a lot of mountains in grampians...we stopped our cars at the one of the stopping points for some picture-taking session and guess what.. there was rainbow!! it got me singing ~somewhere over the the rainbow....~ hahhaha!

and then we had to stop our cars at the parking spaces near the hilltop and then had to walk all the way up..and hailstones started pouring down few times... crazy but fun ;)...

other than beautiful scenery...there were all sorts of weirdly beautiful plants on the hill too...especially the small stream that was in red and filled with foam... at first i thought it was pollution but after hearing what my friend said.. it might b some sort of red moss that produced foamy liquid...

i only managed to go up to somewhere near the top (but not the top yet) before the sun set and before the next hailstorm hit the area... so the view was just 180 degrees but it was spectacular.... like what i saw in the lord of the ring movie... oh so mythical~
