culturally uplifting visit to NGV...

before jumping into the main topic that im gona discuss...im gona show u what i had for lunch and dinner for the last two days...its my homemade marinara spaghetti (with scallops) and orange juice... guess i can open an italian restaurant in lygon now lolx...(and yes i eat with huge bowl coz plate is just never enough for my appetite)

ok... back to the topic... today twins, ycien and me went to NGV (national gallery of victoria) to take a stroll and at the same time tryin to sharpen our artistic judgement and sense toward the artworks lolx whatever...and guess what...the place is just soooo beautiful and monumental... love it :)

what i say isnt gona mean anythin til u check out the pics below... one word, fabulous... check out the chinese-like entrance of the building... its cool... very forbidden city-like haha... (ignore the green recycle water at the front...its yucky)

and the liebeskin-inspired (only my own interpretation) interior

the part that i love the most is the colored glass at the ceiling...incredible!...

and theres an open-air courtyard in the middle of the building with some outdoor sculptures placed here and there

and how can i not appear in the photos when this is my blog...so my cam-whore addiction has again struck me and i decided to take a pic of myself with the huge red mural as my background...

and back to the building theres this lady statue placed on the second floor's mezzanine area...beautiful sculpture

a closer look perhaps...lolx...

and then theres this sculpture made out of entirely recycled materials....its cool coz it looks like some kinda race track...

and theres a part of the building which seems like an isolated box but connected to the main building with ramp surrounding the box (inside the box contains ancient asian art pieces)...
and i love the skin cladding of the box... its made out of wavy textured glass which is similar to the entrance's glass with real water running down from the top to bottom (last pic).... i guess the architect was trying to relate back to somethin...
